How was your Vday everyone? I went to dinner with some single friends and called it an early night. It was great to get together with a group of single people and reinforce that we are truly on the right path in our lives. A bit or positive reinforcement on a day usually reserved for single sorrow.

Well, I wasn't single for V-Day, but I spent most of the day by myself, as the bf was off helping a friend move furniture. I took an unecessarily long shower, wore something relatively perky (for me, anyhow) and spent the day cruising round doing errands. Most of the day was fairly sunny, so it was wonderful to be outside, and even the driving wasn't too bad.
That evening he & I went out to listen a group called Correo Aereo (http://www.correoaereo.com/), they are friends of the bf and play perfect music for a Valentine's Day. The show was at a tiny, intimate restaurant, so we ate there as well (even got dressed up!) and everything felt comfortable, warm and beautiful...just the way I think the day's meant to feel, and I have to say it was nice to finally feel that way about a day I've always hated (even when I wasn't single).

Day before V-Day, I was at work and delighted to receive roses from my hubby (who I am separated from). The weekend I spent sick as a dog and pms so it was kinda all downhill from there. As some of you know, I am separated but still hoping and working to save my marriage after making some big mistakes, and Valentine's day is always a big relationship marker no matter what your situation! Sounds like the 3 of us were all in completely different boats, but managed okay!
On a cuter and lighter note, my two little boys put together a little valentine's day box-lunch for me the day before v-day to take to work.. juice box, raisins and a cheese sandwich with the crust cut off. Best sandwich I ever had!!!

That part made me smile. Congratulations. I hope things work out for you and your husband.

I didn't do much,
I bought a small stuffed animal for each of the girls, a card for my mom and uncle.
And I spent the rest of my day cleaning, grocery shopping, running errands, etc.
Not a very romantic day, but a productive one LOL

I've got to say Tin that your avatar is awesome. I feel the same way. Fricken snow...
